First decide on the scope of your effort - will you include recipes from lots of family members or just a few?

If you have special handwritten recipes, why not photograph them and use them as the text - a very special addition.

There is no need to have a visual image for every recipe ( although that can be as easy as using one of the many on-line sites such as UNSPLASH ), sometimes, just a happy family image of the the recipe’s author is all that is needed.
